COVID-19 Update for KantCon 2021

The KantCon organizers are very hopeful about seeing you in person this July 16 - 18, 2021 at the Overland Park Convention Center.

We continue to monitor recommendations from health organizations and are in constant contact with our venue to make this event a comfortable, enjoyable, and safe experience for everyone. Yet the situation continues to evolve, and we plan to evolve with it. Please watch this page https://www.kantcon.com/covid-updates for updates.

These are the practices we will have in place:

Masks are required in all public spaces by all attendees, volunteers, and organizers. The mask must cover both nose and mouth. Anyone not willing or not able to wear such a covering will be asked to leave.

Physical distancing will be encouraged in any standing area. All tables will be spaced further apart accordingly.

Hand washing is encouraged, with extra signage for reminders.

Hand sanitizer will be available and encouraged, especially around high-touch surfaces.

Please stay home if you are not feeling well. Although we are putting some additional safety and hygiene procedures in place, this does not prevent exposure to COVID-19 or similar illnesses. We encourage you to act in your own best interest, following our code of conduct, https://www.kantcon.com/event-conduct, as we cannot guarantee safety from exposure to any illness while attending the convention.

As you’re preparing for the convention, don’t forget that event submission and registration is now live! We’ve gotten some great event submissions recently, including AD&D games that will run throughout the convention. These are still plenty of slots open, so buy your badge and grab your slot. If you have your own board game, miniature game, or RPG adventure you'd like to run make sure to submit them on our website at the link below. This ensures other attendees will be able to sign-up in advance.
