Game It Forward

This program has been created by the KantCon organizers to allow the community to help support one another and spread the hobby of tabletop gaming.  The concept is straight-forward:

  • If you would like to sponsor another person to attend KantCon, you can buy one or more Game It Forward badge(s) 

  • If you would like to receive a donated badge, you can submit a form to do so

Buying a Badge

On our Registration Page, there is a Game It Forward badge option alongside the other badge bundles.  Choose this product and add it to your cart.  When you arrive at the convention, you will receive additional prize tickets as our sign of appreciation.  The number of tickets received will be based on the number of days and badges you purchased:

  • 4 Day badges receive 7 tickets

  • 3 Day badges receive 5 tickets

  • Single Day badges receive 1 ticket each

Receiving a Badge

If you'd like to request a badge, fill out the form below.  Recipients will be chosen on a first come, first served basis based on donated badge availability and will be distributed via email.​

Please remember that these are gifted to support those who that may not able to afford a badge or take advantage of the Volunteer or GM incentive programs.  You can receive a free badge through Volunteering or Hosting an Event, so we ask you to consider those options before requesting a Game It Forward badge.

Important Dates

  • April 1st -  First disbursement of Game It Forward Badges

  • May 1st - Second disbursement of badges

  • June 1st - Third disbursement of badges

  • June 13th - Game It Forward Form closes

  • June 15th - Fourth and Final disbursement of badges

The Fine Print

We are relying on the honor system for requests and will not be evaluating any individuals that request a badge by any means.  Each form submission will be an entry in a numbered list.  On a day of disbursement, for each Game It Forward badge purchased so far, an email will be sent to the next name in the list.  That recipient has 4 days to respond before the badge will be deemed unclaimed and assigned to another name on the list.  Game It Forward badges provide full access to the convention, but do not include additional ribbons or prize tickets.​
