This year, we are rolling out a new feature of KantCon. Last year, we had the awesome concession stand, and this year, we are adding to the awesomeness with the KantCon Meal Plan.
What is the KantCon Meal Plan, you ask?
Each day of the convention, we will be sending a runner to a pre-designated restaurant we have negotiated with ahead of time, and they will be picking up ready-made-meals for those who wish to participate in the meal plan.
The mechanism is simple. We will be bringing in lunch during the first break of each day, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., and then we will be bringing in dinner during the second break, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Your choices will be limited, and in order to partipcipate, you need to enroll ahead of time. If you enroll now, you will be able to participate in the meal plan on Friday, July 6th. Then, you can continue your enrollment and participate on Saturday, July 7th, and so forth. If on-site attendees, or
pre-registration attendeees who don’t participate on Friday, wish to participate, they can sign up for Saturday’s meal options on Friday, and Sunday’s meal options on Saturday.
As you might guess, your choices will be limited to what we are picking up, but you will have a choice as to a meal during lunch and then again during dinner.
The cost for this feature is $10 per meal. You can buy a full weekend’s worth of full meals for $60.
A meal will consist of a main course, side item or dessert, and a drink.
On Friday, July 6th, we will be bringing in lunch from local restaurant Lettuce Eat and dinner from R.J.’s Bob-Be-Que Shack.
On Saturday, July 7th, we will be bringing in lunch from Planet Sub and dinner from Minsky’s Pizza.
On Sunday, July 8th, we will be bringing in lunch from locally owner franchise restaurant chain Subway and dinner from Talk of the Town Bar & Grill.
We’ll be posting a survey soon where you can make some selections, and we can bill you ahead of time to participate in the KantCon Meal Plan.

We’re happy to announce that Alex Boyd, the Lone Gunman, will return to KantCon this year, playing a special concert at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8th, right after the KantCon Awards!
Pre-Registration for KantCon is closed, but you can certainly show up at the door beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6th at the Johnson County Community College Regnier Center and buy your admission at the door!
Event Registration is still open, however, and will close at midnight on June 30th.
We’re keeping things open to the wire, and Pre-Registration will be closing for KantCon 2012 at 11:59 p.m. on June 22nd. After that time, you will have to register at the door (and you will be paying extra to attend that way).
Additionally, Event Registration is going to close up shop on 7/1 so we can get ready for the show. We will have on-site registration this year, so you’ll be able to sign up for events on-site!
